I Have Global Awareness Of Artmaking
I asked my 2 tablemates for a lot of feedback this time , I asked if my doodle or my creation seemed like it could possibly come true in the future and if it was realistic for an outcome going on the rate of the world now? They really liked the idea and they inspired me to write more. I helped out my table mate with painting her mug and we went off of each others ideas and made more creativity into both of ours. I Observed My surroundings was a BIG DEAL concerning this project/brainstorm. I had to think about the past , now and also the future and all of its creations. I knew that I couldn't make something waaaay too advanced for the future so i used the future time as about 50 years and i think that my creation will be possible. Close observation was important for this project because every little part matters and it makes the project more creative when you pay attention to your surroundings. I Communicated Through My Work My art/brainstorm was intended to say that i think society is advanced enough to come out with a project like this. I feel like a lot of people and great minds are gonna be shown to the world soon and who knows what happens when great minds come together. The only issue i can see is how i'm going to be changing the state of the transportation (from skateboard , to car , to bus). I think this brainstorm shows that i can think outside of the box and think of something that nobody ever thought of and be successful. I Developed Art Making Skills
I learned a new technique about splashing paint on my artwork and how much it makes the project pop because its unintentional but creative. I gained knowledge on using Styrofoam , i never knew that styrofoam could be used in so many ways. I think painting and the splattering thing is really neat and i became comfortable with doing that so I can use it in further projects. Engage & Persist I had many challenges while doing this project from beginning to end, one of the worst problems was when i didn't know what to do from the start and then when I was gluing on the little styrofoam balls they kept falling off and the glue was burning my fingers. Another problem is when i was hanging the wire and how some of the starts were covering some of the letters and even making the stars the same shapes was a struggle. My art work was unintentional , it was a very free hand piece where i just chose to throw things on and then I thought to make a name board. I learned this time that all art "mistakes'' aren't always mistakes because you can turn anything into a beautiful art piece. Reflect I stepped back and looked at my project more than I have with any other project and it made the project come out so much better. I wish I would have did this in a lot of my other projects because it made it more creative and together. I Observed
When i used my surroundings and observed my artwork , some mistakes were fixed before they got too bad. Even some mistakes weren't made because of me looking a my artwork more frequently. I think that close observation was important because a lot of mistakes could happen if you didn't closely observe your work. If I didn't observe my work my art would have came a lot worse than it did. I Created Original Art I created original art because I didn't use anybody else's art work as an inspiration for mine and i just free handed my artwork. Most of my work was not intentional and it made the work better when i free handed rather than trying to do a specific piece and it made it more interesting. I Developed Art Making Skills I used new tool with my art work like an exact o knife and i used a lot of hot glue and my art was a lot of ripped Styrofoam because I only used the exact o knife sometimes , I feel like it added a lot more depth to the project. I feel like fun theory is how to make tasks from everyday easier and more innovative. Its kind of like the stairs because people didn't use them but when they put the piano elements on the steps people used the steps more.
During this TED Talk video I learned a lot about Phil Hansen and also about creativity and overcoming obstacles. He used to have a shake in his hand and he quit art , and came back more inspired than ever to create original and use more techniques for making art and paintings. He used a disability and turned it into a way to discover more ways to create art regardless of if it would hurt him more. This video is really inspiring to use things you cant help and make more out of it. I Created Original Art
I used my own experiences to create my pumpkin , i also used personal feelings and world issues as aspects in my pumpkin. I was in a mental hospital for a while and while i was there i met one of my bestfriends, he was 17 and of the LGBT community. WHile we were there many of people that were coming in looked at Malik in a different way because of his sexual preference he was my inspiration for this project. My Art was intentional. I Communicated Through My Work My artwork is intended to represent the LGBT community and how they are the same as everyone else but have different preferences. Society makes it hard for people to be accepted because now days you have to be a certain way to be accepted and actually looked at as a person and i have deep feelings on the situations going on in the world , especially the acceptance of LGBT community. My only problem was the blending of the colors when they were close together. I Reflected I reflected on my artwork all the time , when I felt like things needed to be changed i would change it. I also used the teacher and peers at my table to tell me if there was any mistakes and I stood up and turned my pumpkin frequently to see if it was all even. I Developed Art Making Skills |
